If your child’s (or any family member’s) gut needs some loving care. Then look no further… this smoothie is loaded with nutrients to boost gut health. From bone broth, hemp seeds and chia seeds to probiotic-rich yoghurt, it may seem like an unlikely combination, but it works so well. You have to try it to believe it!! It’s the perfect pick-me-up to keep little bellies smiling from the inside out.
Allergens: GF, EF
1 (130g) ripe banana, peeled and frozen
1/2 (70g) ripe avocado, peeled and pitted
½ cup (125ml) bone broth
1/3 cup (85g) natural yoghurt, unsweetened
1 cup (25g) baby spinach
1 tsp (4g) chia seeds
1 tbs (11g) hemp seeds (optional)
1 ½ cups (375ml) coconut water
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
If the smoothie consistency is too thick for your liking, you can add more coconut water or filtered water.
Serving and storing leftovers: Serve immediately, store in a jar in the fridge for up to 24 hours or freeze for up to 4 months. You can also pour any leftover smoothie into popsicle moulds and freeze for a cool snack.
- Add 1-2 tbs of Wholesome Child Protein+ Vanilla or Choc before blending.
- Add 2-4 tsp of Veggies+ before blending.
- Add 2 Medjool dates (40g) to sweeten to the other ingredients before blending.
