These chocolatey balls of goodness are packed with superfoods, greens and healthy fats. They make a delicious morning or afternoon tea – sweetened naturally with dates and banana. Rich in Magnesium and Zinc which both support healthy development in kids. A brilliant way to get kids to eat their kale with no resistance!

Ingredients

Method

1 ½ ripe bananas, peeled
10 Medjool dates, pitted
½ cup kale, chopped
1 ¾ cups pumpkin seed meal
1 cup desiccated coconut
2 tbs raw cacao
2 tbs hemp seeds
1 tsp vanilla extract or powder
1 tbs coconut oil, melted
Pinch sea salt
½ cup carob powder or supergreens powder, to roll in (optional)

Equipment
High-speed food processor
1. Place banana and dates into a high-speed food processor and process until smooth.
2. Add rest of the ingredients and process until well combined.
3. If dough seems too sticky, place in fridge for 30 mins before rolling into balls.
4. Roll dough into small balls, then roll balls into carob powder or omit coating completely.

Tip:
Swap seed meal for gluten-free oat meal or for a non-school-friendly version swap seed meal for almond meal. Swap kale for spinach and hemp seeds for flax meal. Serve immediately, store in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 6 months.
