Hi Friends
Hope you are all well. I have had a few emails and queries about the Kickstarter Campaign and my book The Wholesome Child Nutrition Guide and Recipe Book, so I thought I’d pop them in this handy FAQ!
Q. How does Kickstarter work?
A. Good question! So by pledging to my Kickstarter Campaign you are essentially pre-ordering the book. There are a range of pledges to choose from, but pre-ordering the book or ebook are the main ones. Please note that you don’t pay anything until the campaign ends and is a success. If we don’t meet our target, you will not get charged.
Q. What makes The Wholesome Child Nutrition Guide and Recipe Book different to other recipe books?
A. In addition to having 140 healthy, delicious recipes, the book also contains an eight-step guide that will help you shift your kids from eating junk food to healthy food. Each chapter has a goal; both dietary and behavioural. So often parents give up trying to implement healthy eating at home because their kids refuse to eat the food they are making. The Wholesome Child book helps you to make the transition with ease.
Q. What does the program cover?
A. Each of the steps contains a different strategy, from swapping to wholegrains, increasing the amount of vegetables your family eats, to reducing sugar and demystifying “healthy fats”. It’s about creating a healthier way of life for your family, one meal at a time.
Q. Will the guide work if I have fussy eaters?
A. Absolutely. In the course of my career and through my consultations – and personally as a mum of two young kids – I have dealt with fussy eating time and time again. The book will help navigate your way passed fussy eaters to expand their tastes with practical, effective strategies that really work.
Q. What other topics does the book cover?
A. All the topics cover issues that I have seen families deal with time and again, such as what to do when you can’t do family meals? How do you get kids to eat more veggies? What to do when they refuse to eat the meals you’ve prepared? How to pick the best supermarket bread? Which fat is best for their bodies? How to read nutrition labels? It’s the book that every parent needs to help transition their kids towards healthy and nutritious foods.
I hope this answers some of your questions about the campaign and book. If you have any other questions feel free to email me at any time, I would love to hear from you.
